There are now less than three weeks to go in the 2019 TaylorMade Order of Merit so if your game is hitting a bit of a purple patch now is the time to hit the course for the chance to put yourself in the running to secure one of the cherished spots at the TaylorMade Order of Merit final in Las Vegas. Don’t forget we take your best 10 competition rounds recorded in Golf Link between 1^st January to 31^st December 2019. So regardless of when you joined the TaylorMade Order of Merit any great scores recorded between 1^st January 2019 and the end of the year count.

We hope that you have enjoyed the TaylorMade Order of Merit this year but with the launch of the new Australian Golf Digest Order of Merit we are making it even bigger and better giving you more chances to win. We are on a mission to find the best club golfers in Australia. The Summer Series launched on the 1^st December and each series now runs for 3 months for just $5 a month! Compete in your weekly club competitions and have those rounds automatically included in the Order. That’s right, it’s as simple as Register, Play and Play some more. To make this as fair as possible, you’ll only compete against golfers of similar ability in your state. I don’t have a Golf Australia handicap – can I enter?

Ah, No

How many rounds do I have to play to qualify for the order of merit?

10 – but you can play as many as you want.

The best 10 will count. Just think – if you played 50 qualifying rounds that would be $2 per round to get you in the running to Las Vegas (wish coffee was that cheap!)

How many qualify?

That depends on how many registered players there are in each grade. The minimum is 1 qualifier and there is no maximum per grade and once we hit 200 in a particular grade, we take 2, 300 – 3 and so on.

So, say we only have 20 A Grade Male players registered (unlikely we think) then only 1 (the top 1) would qualify for the final. But if there were 450 B Grade Females that registered there would be 4 qualifiers. It really is a case of the more the merrier – so tell your friends to increase the chance of you all qualifying for the final.

What’s on offer?

If you qualify, an expense paid trip to Las Vegas, USA in February 2020. This includes return economy airfares, 3 nights accommodation, welcome and presentation dinner as well as entry into the final round playoff.
